Welcome!
On behalf of the First Baptist family, I would like to welcome you to our website. As you surf through our site, I hope you see the love that we have for God, the love that we have for our community, and the love that we have for each other. I truly believe in our motto, this is the church where neighbors become family.
As we invest ourselves in God’s work here at First Baptist Church Hopewell, we are realizing two truths:
1) God can and will use anyone to complete His work; and 2) God is faithful to His children, for He never leaves us or forsakes us. God guides our steps, and when we fall or fail, He is ready to forgive. The wonderful little verse hidden in the book of proverbs, which says, "for though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again...."(Proverbs 24:16) reminds us of God’s faithfulness to forgive and help us back to our feet. We get a glimpse of the Easter promise – that even though we fall or fail – life is not over . . . we have hope, because we can, with God’s help, rise again.
I would like to invite you to come and join us on our journey of faith and experience God’s measureless love and endless forgiveness. May you see God’s presence in the pages of this website; and may you experience God’s presence when you come to worship with us. We look forward to meeting you!
